Lowfield Lodge & Hot Tub

FARCICAL! Positive: Looked really modern and eazy on the eye. Inside was exceptionally ultra modern. Did n't like having to enter the property via the bedroom. Very high spec appliances i.e. oven and hob and tv, couldn't figure out how to work them, and no instrutions whatsoever Negative: The clealiness was apalling, couldn't use the trays in oven so had to clean them ourselves. The whole lodge was covered in dog hairs, had to brush the floors several times a day as my partner has asthma and I have c.o.p.d. luckily the floors were wooden. There was a notice on the upboard door in the bedroom, stating if we used more towels than those allotted to us, we would be charged! No cleaning cloths were available ( we were told there was) had to buy our own. The worst experience we had was on our last night Saturday 27th December. Around 8o' clock my partner went to bed, I stayed up watching some programme on tv. I heard water gushing and presumed my partner had been to the bathroom and something was wrong wjth the flushing mechanism, so I went to investigate, and it was fine. I then opened tbe cupboard door which housed the boiler, and it was like a tidal wave of water gushing out. I tried to look for a stop cock but couldn't find one. My immediate reaction was to look under the kitchen sink still couldn't find one. By this time I had woken my partner I was in my nightware and was totally drenced. The water just carried on gushing out and beacause the lodge was open plan the water travelled everywhere! I had a pjone number of the cleaner and rang him. He and his wife came a d just threw every available sheet and towel on the floor ( they couldn't find a stop tap either) To cut a long story short the supposed owner came offered to put us up in a hotel for the night and give us a full refund of £767 Because we were local he paid for a cab to bring us home, and then on Sunday to collect our car. Reading an email from the real owner layer on it seems that the clea ers are saying this incident was down to us. This is deffamation of character ans I shall be seeking legal advise. We didn't get a full recu d as promised, just the cost of one nights stay. To say I am disgusted is mild am FURIOUS!

Positive: Great location and facilities, especially hot tub. Great communication and response from owners. Close to the beach and lots of green space for dog to enjoy. Negative: Nothing everything great.

Lovely getaway Positive: Perfect ..great hottub,comfortable and modern Negative: Had a little trouble with the heating and went in December so was a bit chilli they did come to sort it out however he didn't know how it worked either but will definitely be returning as everything else was perfect

Excellent, will be returning Positive: Set in a good location, hot tub was clean and ready to go with plenty of privacy. The bed was comfy and they also had some games and books available. Negative: Some of the cutlery and glasses were a bit dirty but didn’t cause any issues as there was a dishwasher and tablets available to clean them.
